The Wet Canvas
website is a very good forum for beginners and experienced artists alike,
it includes tutorials and resources sent in by
contributors. Here are my paintings from the very popular "Weekend Challenge" section. Each picture
will have been completed
in two hours, unless otherwise stated, on Cotman NOT/cold pressed 90lb 190 gsm paper.

"Grand Canyon" - 13 February - 14 x 10in. Four hours,
"Winter Sunrise" - 26 February - 10 x 7in.

"Elephant" - 6th March - 10in. x 7in.
"Willie Lott's Cottage, Flatford" 13 March - 10in. x 7in, 140 minutes. Immortalised in
Constable`s "The Hay Wain", his viewpoint was further to the left and just shows the edge of the cottage.

"Landfall, The Mayflower"-20th March -10in. x 7in. 3 hours.
"Clifftop" - 28th March - 10in. x 7in. Two and a half hours.
"Honeymoon"-1st April - 10in. x 7in. 2 hours 30 minutes.
"Paoay Church, Philippines" 10in. x 7in- 21st May - shown in various stages of completion.

The initial two hour scanning stage and 45 minutes later.

3 hours 30 minutes and an hour later.

5 hours and the finished version, done in six hours.

"Fang" - Someone having a bad day. 10in. x 7in - 26th June - 2 hours 10.

"San Carlos" 14in. x 10in
Completed over a few days, about ten hours work, finished
4th August.

Work in progress - "Totem poles" 10in. x 7in and completed - 2 Oct 2005.
